Profesionals worksing with children and adolescents regularly see youth who meet the critera dor DSM IVTR personality disorders. Utilizing this category will allow for more rapid intervention which can interfere with the development of the personality disorder and increase adaptive functioning.

Arthur Freeman is Visiting Professor in the Department of Psychology at Governors State University.  He is a past-president of both AABT and IACP and has earned Board Certification in Clinical, Family, and Cognitive Behavioral Psychology of the American Board of Professional Psychology.  He had published 62 books and his work has been translated from English into 12 languages. His professional emphasis has been on teaching, supervision, and clinical work with a broad range of patient populations.
